About:

Station 2 was opened in 2020, and proudly protects the Gorman Bridge, Emma, Richmond Hills, Olivette to the Macedonia Split, and Old Leicester HWY to Olivette Communities within West Buncombe. Station 2 is first due to all water rescue calls on the French Broad River and protects the Norfolk Southern Rail line; both run the entire length of the fire district. Station 2 also houses and staffs the department’s unmanned drone assets.

On April 8, 2025, Station 2 was dedicated in honor of Chief David J. Martin’s 55 years of volunteer service to the West Buncombe community.
