About:

Opened in 2001, Station 1 proudly protects the Erwin Hills, Johnson School/Deaverview neighborhoods, Mount Carmel, Alexander/Macedonia, and New Leicester HWY communities within West Buncombe. As the headquarters, Station 1 houses several key departments and offices, including:

  • Office of the Fire Chief
  • Assistant Chief of Operations
  • Assistant Chief of Safety and Training
  • Business Office

Station 1 serves as the central hub for the department’s administrative and operational activities, ensuring efficient and coordinated emergency response throughout the district.
