While we do not provide transport-level emergency medical services (EMS), our firefighters are highly trained and certified at various levels, including Paramedic, Advanced EMT, and EMT, to deliver immediate, life-saving care on the scene.

It’s important to note that West Buncombe Fire Department is funded entirely through Ad Valorem and Sales Tax revenues collected by Buncombe County. We do not charge for any of the emergency response services we provide to our community. Our primary mission is to ensure your safety and well-being, responding to every emergency with professionalism and care—at no additional cost to you.
