About:

Opened in 2001, Station 1 protects Erwin Hills, Johnson School/Deaverview neighborhoods, Mount Carmel, Alexander/Macedonia, and New Leicester HWY. As the headquarters, it houses the Office of the Fire Chief, Assistant Chief of Operations, Assistant Chief of Safety and Training, and the Business Office.

About:

Opened in 2020, Station 2 protects Gorman Bridge, Emma, Richmond Hills, Olivette to Macedonia Split, and Old Leicester HWY to Olivette. It is first due to all water rescue calls on the French Broad River and protects the Norfolk Southern Rail line. Station 2 also houses and staffs the department’s unmanned drone assets.

Station 3 - Future Expansion

Estimated to start construction in 2029, future Station 3 will be situated at Dix Creek #2 and Piney Mountain Rd. It will protect the New Found Community, Dix Creek Community, Gouges Branch, Ramsey Rd, and Old Leicester HWY to Bear Creek Rd. Until its completion, this district is covered by Station 1.
